A health trainer’s key responsibility is to engage with and support people in making the healthy lifestyle choices which they want to make. They need to raise awareness of the service in priority areas and with priority groups and give practical support to help people improve their knowledge, skills and confidence in improving their lifestyles.

Health Trainers have a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills – in order to raise awareness they will employ a wide range of public health skills to engage and motivate clients.
